Matcha Latte & Matcha Smoothie
Matcha contains antioxidants that fight off free radicals and some people say it helps them be more alert!
I have a delicious matcha green tea latte recipe and a matcha green tea smoothie recipe!
For my matcha latte, I’m using a matcha powder from Trader Joe’s. It come pre-measured in packets.
Add hot water to the matcha tea powder.
Pour that into a mug.
Add hot milk (I’m using unsweetened almond milk). Add 1 or 2 teaspoons of sweetener. (If you’re making a cold latte, don’t heat the milk. Add some ice at this point if you wish.)
For the matcha smoothie, I’m using Sunfood Organic’s Matcha Powder.
Put the almond milk, matcha powder, and a frozen banana into the blender.
Add 1 or 2 pitted dates. Blend on high speed for 20 to 30 seconds.
Pour into a glass, add a straw, and enjoy!

INGREDIENT LIST:
MATCHA LATTE:
2 oz (1/4 cup) Hot Water
1 teaspoon Matcha Powder
6 oz (3/4 cup) Almond Milk
1 to 2 teaspoons Sweetener (maple syrup, agave nectar, honey)
For a cold latte, add Ice
MATCHA SMOOTHIE:
8 to 10 oz Almond Milk
1 1/2 teaspoons Matcha Powder
1 Frozen Banana
Optional: 1 or 2 Pitted Dates
