How to Do Pushups – for Women
Pushups are a great way to get toned arms!
Can you only do 2 "regular" pushups? The type with your toes on the ground that we used to call "boy's pushups"? I've talked to a lot of women of all ages who've told me they can only do 2 pushups.
I'll show you how to increase that number and strengthen your arms!

The trick to doing more “regular” pushups is to divide it up! If you can only do 2 pushups at a time, you’ll do 2. Then go do something else. (Do a different exercise. Brush your teeth. Make you bed.) Then do another 2 pushups.
That’s how I started – with 2 pushups at a time. And I did that 5 times for a total of 10 pushups that day. Then one day I realized I could do 3 pushups at a time. So I did my 3 pushups and I did that 5 times. A total of 15 pushups!
If you get to the point of doing 12 pushups at a time, and doing that 5 times, you’ll be doing 60 pushups!
Take the position of a regular pushup. You can wear gym shoes if you want – or not.
Go down as far as you can. Then come back up. That is 1 pushup. If you can only do 1, then do 1. And do it 5 times by doing something else in between each set. One day you’ll realize you can do 2 pushups at a time. It will go up from there.
I’m currently doing 15 pushups at a time, X 5, that is 75 pushups!
