If you're a woman over 45 years of age, there are 3 exercise groups that you should include in your fitness routine in order to ensure you stay in shape for a long time. I call these the healthy trinity of fitness!

You can continue to do these exercises when you're over 50, over 60, over 70, and beyond!

The “Healthy Trinity of Fitness” is 3 groups of exercises:  Endurance, flexibility, and strength.

Endurance exercises are aerobic exercises. This includes walking, biking, running, swimming, and dancing. Choose the aerobic exercises that work well for you.

Flexibility exercises are stretching exercises. As we get older, it’s important to keep our muscles flexible. Stretching our legs and hips will help to keep us mobile and prevent falling. Stretching our upper body keeps our shoulders and back flexible.

Strength exercises include weight training and resistance training. Using light weights and flexible bands (large rubberbands) will help to build strength.
