Wander Beauty - Makeup & Skincare Review for Women Over 50

01-Wander Beauty - thunbnail.jpg

Wander Beauty is a makeup & skincare brand focused on busy women! I wanted to test it on my mature skin to see how some of the products worked for me.

I was eager to try Wander’s Nude Illusion Liquid Foundation. The color I have here is “Fair / Light”.

The liquid foundation’s cap has a doe foot for application. I decided to try it on half of my face because I wanted to compare it to their pressed powder foundation on the other side of my face!

I buffed out the foundation with a flat brush.

Wander’s Wanderlust Powder Foundation is also in the “Fair / Light” color. It has this really nice clear plastic cover (shown above) to cover the foundation when the compact is closed, and then you place the puff on top of that.

I found it best to pat the foundation on my face with the puff rather than swiping it across my face.

I also used the flat brush to buff out the powder foundation on this half of my face.

08-Blush stick-2.jpg

Wander’s On-the-Glow Blush & Illuminator is a two-sided stick! This is the blush end of the stick in the color “Bare”. It is a light pink/peach color.

I put the blush on my fingertips and then patted it on my cheeks rather than swipe the stick across my cheeks. It had been a long time since I had used a cream blush and even longer since I had used a stick blush, so I found it took a little longer to practice to get it to look good.

By applying it with my fingertips I could put a little bit of blush on at a time and build up the color.

The highlighter stick is a beautiful, creamy color.

I applied the highlighter directly from the stick — at the top of my cheekbones, a bit between the brows, and a bit on the cupid’s bow.

Then I buffed out the highlighter with another flat brush.

This is the finished makeup look! But wait….I also tested a few skincare products from Wander Beauty!

14-Mask product and Glory-1.jpg

The first skincare product I tested is the Fast Lane Instant Facial Mask. The formula includes AHA & BHA to exfoliate the skin’s surface to reveal a brighter complexion. It will also unclog pores by clearing the build-up of dead skin cells.

You can leave the mask on for up to 20 minutes and use it once a week.

15-Nighttime Retinol-1.JPG

Wander’s Do Not Disturb Overnight Repair Concentrate is a lovely retinoid product. It helps to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improves your skin’s elasticity, and slows the breakdown of collagen.

I typically use a retinoid product three nights a week.

16-Use Sunscreen every day-2.jpg

If you use any retinoid product you must, must, must use a full-spectrum sunscreen every day, 365 days a year, rain or shine!

17-Undereye-1.JPG

Wander’s Baggage Claim Gold Eye Masks will de-puff the under-eye area, brighten dark circles with camu camu extract, hydrate with hyaluronic acid, and soften fine lines.

I’m pointing to the back of the Eye Mask package to show what they look like and how they’re shaped. They actually adhere to the skin very well and feel light. (Other brands I’ve tried feel heavy and weighted.) You keep these on for 10 to 15 minutes, and then after pulling off the masks, you gently pat the remaining serum into your skin.

I think, no matter what your age, you will really like this brand. Links to products are below….. scroll down!
