Dermaroller with REAL Needles! - Gin Amber Beauty
I thought all dermarollers were created equally. Not so! Most that we buy are not individual needles. But Gin Amber Beauty creates dermarollers that are different - and better!
Dermarolling is great for anti-aging skincare. It helps to bring collagen to the surface. (Collagen used to be at the surface of my skin in droves, but as I age the collagen decides to “leave” the surface.)

My “kit” from Gin Amber Beauty includes two dermarollers, their Natural Peptide Serum, and their 10% Vitamin C + Squalene Cream.
In this photo from Gin Amber, she took apart 3 dermarollers. Then she compared one of her dermarollers on the LEFT with two other dermarollers in the CENTER & on the RIGHT.
Do you see how the two in the center & on the right have a series of wheels inside of them? Those wheels have poke-y pointers sticking out and they’re not real needles.
The Gin Amber dermaroller on the left has real, individual needles in it!
I started out my dermaroller session with a clean face. Then I sprayed some alcohol on a cotton pad and disinfected my face and neck with it.
I go over each section vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. Each time, I roll the device 10 times.
The dermaroller I’m using is the size .5mm. If your skin is sensitive, you can start with a .25mm size.
My “old” dermaroller, which I now realize has wheels inside of it, is also a .5mm. However, that “wheel” version isn’t as intense as the .5mm “real needles” dermaroller from Gin Amber.
After doing my cheek area and nose, I get to the jaw line and the neck.
It hurts the most on my forehead, so I save that area for last.
Afterward, I applied a generous amount of the Gin Amber Beauty Natural Peptide Serum. It feels really good on the skin!
Next, I apply the Gin Amber 10% Vitamin C + Squalene Cream. Wow! Is my face red or what?
The cream feels really good, too!
Obviously, I use the dermaroller only at night! When I wake up in the morning, the redness is gone!
See? Redness is gone! Dermarolling has a cumulative effect over time. One session really isn’t enough to see a difference for most people.
The .5mm size is to be used once a week. Gin Amber also sent me the .75mm size, which is to be used once every 3 weeks (as of this writing, I haven’t tried it yet!). If you want to dermaroll your lips, buy the .25mm size.
